Hutch, assuring us: "We are past the worst of it"
there were wildflowers all over the top of the ridge. I had never seen cactus in
bloom before...
"...no, Jorge, I haven't actually been on this road, but I'm sure the worst of it is behind us..."
Dinner at Wolfie's was a near terminal
experience in gluttony! The food was great; I ccould hardly waddle out to the
bike afterwards...
Heading home Sunday, I followed Hutch's advice
and went South thru Weber Canyon- A nice twisty road
I turned Right on Sellards Road. Tracker posted a photo of it already and you
really don't need to see it again. A typical high plains road, it runs West,
straight and true, thru' low hills of rolling crop land. After some miles of
droning into a headwind it turns left and goes South as McKinley Springs Road. I
should've gone straight off that corner onto a gravel road posted as Township
road, but the hypno pavement sucked me South for a ways before I woke up to that
fact. I had to backtrack, but I did see this windmill while I was off course...
