Test Ride!
Mike came over and we took the KLRs for a short test ride up in the woods. Mike drove the black 01 and I took the blue 96 with Amy riding monkey. water!
We just took a short trip- a little fast pavement, some twisties and then some fairly mild logging roads to an abandoned road we wanted to hike. Both bikes handled all the road surfaces just fine. No wobbles, nothing came apart and they were easy to steer. I did put Amy under water when we got to the deep puddles. The rig looks so purty with the sun gleaming off the aluminum brush guard through a vertical wall of water
The walk was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the flowers. I have been so busy with the classes and building the sidecars I really haven't had a chance to do any recreational riding or hiking this spring. It felt good to get out. Amy admired the flowering succulents
Mike examines a Dogwood in bloom. The Blossoms are about four time larger than they were last year-must be the weather
The
Thimble berries are also in flower...
When we got back home Amy declared "This is fun!", giving the KLR hacks her seal of approval. I considered it a most successful test ride!
